15.52 pm Soon, Siri will understand Indian English
New Delhi: Indians will no longer have to try too hard to make Apple's virtual assistant, Siri, understand their voice commands as the upcoming iOS update will support English for India.
Apple recently rolled out its beta 2 version of iOS8.3 that includes racially diverse emojis, Wireless CarPlay, improved Google log in, and Siri support for multiple languages.
9to5Mac report stated that Siri will understand Russian, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and English for India.
The options to choose language for Siri will be accessible through the settings panel on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Some of these languages were forecasted for a future version of Siri by way of multiple Apple job listings posted over the past couple of years. The new options are accessible via the Siri settings panel on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
The updated iOS8.3 is scheduled for release later this year and a public beta, another first by Apple, will be released in mid-March.
