<p> <i> 11.30 am </i> Asus Zenfone 2, Zenfone Zoom coming to India this year: Report

Asus Zenfone 2, details of which were leaked online sometime back and were reported by The Mobile Indian earlier too, will be launched in India in the second quarter of this year. GSMarena has quoted Asus India country head Peter Chang as saying this.

Note that as per Indian financial calender, the Q2 refers to the July to September period.

Two versions of Zenfone 2 has been spotted so far. The first version comes in two processor and RAM variants, Intel Atom Z3580 and Z3560 with 4GB or 2GB of RAM. Besides, it has 5.5 inch full HD display, Android Lollipop operating system, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 16 GB internal memory, 64 GB micro SD card slot, dual SIM, 4G, and a 3000 mAh battery. Another version with model No ZE500CL has also been spotted with 5 inch IPS HD display, Intel Atom Clover Trail 1.6 GHz processing unit, and 2 GB of RAM. The handset said to have 16 GB of expandable storage and even the latest Android Lollipop. Besides, it is said to have an 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front unit, single SIM with 4G connectivity, and a a 2500 mAh battery. It is though not clear which of this two will be launched eventually.

Meanwhile, Asus's Chang also quoted by the website saying that the Zenfone Zoom will hit the market after the launch of Zenfone 2 which is probably in the third quarter.

The Asus Zenfone Zoom has a 5.5 inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3, Android Lollipop operating system, Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 2/4 GB RAM, and 64 GB micro SD card slot. This handset comes in four internal storage variants - 16/32/64/128 GB.

The Zenfone Zoom has a 13 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, optical zoom stabilisation, and 3X optical zoom facility. There are two LED flash lights in its back panel while a 5 megapixel unit is in its front. This dual SIM smartphone offers LTE connectivity, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, and micro USB port. It has a huge 3000 mAh battery.</p>
