<p> <i> 22.36 pm </i> Upgrading to Lumias becomes cheaper for Asha users
NEW DELHI: Microsoft has announced a new offer that will make buying the entry-level Lumia 435 smartphone for existing Asha users. The Smart Exchange offer will start on April 15 and last till stocks remain.
Under this offer, Asha 500, 501, 502 and 503 users will get discount of Rs 1,500 while buying Lumia 435, whereas Asha 305, 306, 308, 309, 310 and 311 users will get discount of Rs 1,000.
In a statement, Microsoft will give Lumia 435 buyers Rs 1,250 in Paytm cashback on recharges through the payment solution's mobile app during the offer period (Rs 250 per transaction).
Lumia 435 is officially priced at Rs 5,999 in the Indian market, but is available for approximately Rs 5,500 on e-commerce websites.
The new smartphone, launched in India in February, comes only in single-sim variant and has a 4-inch screen with 480x800p resolution. The smartphone packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM under the hood and comes with 8GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 128GB. This Microsoft smartphone also packs a 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1,560mAh battery.
Microsoft is offering 30GB free cloud storage, Lumia Camera and Lumia Selfie apps, Microsoft Office mobile suite and Skype integration in dialler in Lumia 435.</p>
