LG launches F60 smartphone at INR 14,200
It was around three months back that the LG F60 was first spotted on the LG India website, however, it is only now that the device has been made available in the country. Althoughthe device has been priced at INR 15,000, it is even available at INR 14,200 in some stores.
The LG F60 first hit the spotlight in October 2014 and stole the spotlight for being 4G LTE compatible. The handset sports a 4.5 inch WVGA display, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage and an external card slot to extend the memory of the device. The F60 has a 5 MP primary camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. It is a dual-SIM device and comes with a 2100 mAh battery.
One of the negatives of the device is the fact that it runs on Android 4.4.2 OS, although that it comes with plenty of LG user-experience enhancements as Knock Code, Touch & Shoot and Gesture Shot.
Few believe that the device would be a big let-down for LG as it is way overpriced. The handset would have done brisk business had it arrived in October itself. The launch of many new feature rich budget handsets as the Yu Yureka from Micromax, Xiaomi RedMi series, the Mi4 and even the Lenovo A6000 in these many months has rendered the LG F60 obsolete.</p>
