<p> <i> 12.02 pm </i> Micromax Canvas Pep budget smartphone launched in India for Rs 5,999

Recently, Micromax announced Android Lollipop for its Canvas range, and now the company is all set to add another member to its popular series – the Canvas Pep. It’s yet-another uber-budget device priced at Rs 5,999.

The Canvas Pep is aimed at young audiences and promises seamless multi-tasking, says the company. Sporting a 4.5-inch FWVGA 480 x 854 display, it comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.

On the camera front, expect a 5MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash. It also comes with a front-facing snapper for selfies. The connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and USB.
The Micromax Canvas Pep is now available in Pritine white and Mystic blue colours, across online and offline stores.

Earlier this month, the company had also unveiled two new low-cost devices, with prices starting at Rs 699, targetting consumers looking for affordable devices as back-ups to their smartphones.</p>
