21.14 pm OnePlus Two: metal bod, more expensive than OnePlus One?
With the “Flagship Killer” OnePlus One being one of the highlights of 2014, it’s a no-brainer that one of the phones we’re most looking forward to in 2015 is the inevitable OnePlus Two.
Details are still relatively scarce at this stage, but a fresh report suggests we should expect a premium metal design, alongside a premium price tag.
The OnePlus One – the start-up’s first phone – made huge waves last year, delivering flagship-level specs at roughly half the price of many flagship phones.
With the phone being sold pretty much at cost, and the crew having had a marketing budget of just $300, it stands to reason that things will change significantly this year.
Now that OnePlus has made a name for itself and grabbed the attention of the more learned smartphone consumer, you can bet your butt the OnePlus Two will be more expensive, with the manufacturer looking to put a few bucks in the bank.
Indeed, that’s what eye-friendly Lisa Eadicicco writes over on Business Insider; the OnePlus Two will be more expensive than the OnePlus One, though still more affordable than top-tier flagships like the iPhone.
Softening the blow somewhat, we’re told the OnePlus Two will feel “more premium” than the OnePlus One, largely thanks to a metal frame.
The OnePlus One launched in April last year, so logic suggests we can expect the OnePlus Two launch any month now.
