20.58 pm Lava Iris X1 Beats budget smartphone launched for Rs 6,552
After Motorola’s new Moto E, a series of new smartphones are now being launched in a similar price bracket. The latest is from Lava dubbed Iris X1 Beats priced at Rs 6,552.
Expanding the Iris X1 series, the new dual SIM smartphone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display. Just like Micromax and Xolo, Lava has also included spruced up audio technology. The Iris x1 Beats comes with a K-Class Amplifier along with better quality speakers, claims the company.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The 8GB onboard storage can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and there is no word on Android Lollipop update. On the camera front, it gets 5MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera. The connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro-USB slot.
A 2200mAh battery completes the package that promises up to 11 hours of talk time on 3G network and up to 134 hours of standby time on single-SIM.
Just like Lava’s some other devices, the Iris X1 Beats supports smart gesture controls to use applications from locked screen. It will come dipped in white-silver, white-gold, and Ink black colours.
